The Student Union Coordinator will assist in the day to day operations of three busy, multi-purpose student centers which provides an array of services to the university community. Duties include: management of room reservation set-ups and equipment; media and technical support; supervision and student development of over 60 student operations managers and student facility operations attendants; assistance with the oversight of the facilities including staff scheduling; upkeep, inventory, and purchasing of various equipment and materials; liaison with physical plant workers, UTD police, and food service personnel; assistance with appearance and cleanliness of the facilities.
High School graduation; Two years facilities management and/or building maintenance experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
The Coordinator is an entry-level position, which requires knowledge of facilities and building management. The position reports to the Assistant Director of the Student Union and works in collaboration with fellow Facility Coordinators, Student Union Scheduling Services, and Assistant Directors of Student Activities and Programming to support student and university events and services. Knowledge of visual and sound equipment and the ability to interact with a wide range of constituents in a fast-paced environment is required. Demonstrated ability for teamwork and collaboration is essential. Ability to lift 50 lbs is preferred. Experience with database software and strong customer service is preferred.
