Position Information: The Financial Analyst 4 is responsible for providing high level data analysis and reporting for the CNAS Dean's Office. The incumbent is responsible for complex financial forecasting and analytics. The position is also working closely with departments FAOs and FOMs and central campus offices to allocate college resources and to resolve financial issues.
The full salary range for the Financial Analyst 4 is $93,200 - $174,200 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $93,200 - $113,450 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

Department Custom Scope The Financial Analyst 4 is responsible for providing high level data analysis and reporting for the CNAS Dean's Office. Performs complex financial and budgetary analysis including forecasting to produce financial reports. Extracts data from multiple sources and systems and produce synthesized reports. Analysis include development of quantitative models, fluctuation/variance analysis, operating models, budget models, impact analysis, and testing data for accuracy and reasonableness. Assembles and analyzes requests for resources including ad-hoc requests for funding. Develops recommendations regarding reasonableness of request, resource availability and effective uses of resources to achieve college goals and objectives. Records approved commitments and manages transfer of funds process. Administers the college's critical financial resources such as temporary teaching/graduate student researchers, faculty start up packages and benefits. Participates in fiscal closing process to ensure processing of year-end financial entries in a timely and accurate manner.
