The Assistant Director for Campus Programs leads a dynamic student activities program that addresses and balances our students’ social & entertainment interests, inclusive excellence, sense of belonging, and educational needs. This ongoing programming includes major events such as Week of Welcome and SpringFest. Additionally, this role functionally supervises the Coordinator for Campus Programs, administratively supervises a Graduate Assistant and serves as a secondary advisor to the UVM Program Board. The Assistant Director works collaboratively both within the Student Involvement team, and across other departments to create experiences that promote belonging, student retention, and a campus culture of leadership and life-long learning.

Master's degree in Student Affairs or Counseling and one to two years related experience required.  Experience with event or program planning and implementation, familiarity with college environment and the schedule/needs of college students required. Experience supervising professional staff or students. Effective interpersonal and communication skills required. Basic computer skills and social media skills required. Demonstrated commitment to inclusive excellence, environmental stewardship, and fostering a collaborative environment required.
