York College, founded in 1966, is a center of academic excellence in the heart of Jamaica, Queens. York???s academic programs are housed in three schools: The School of Arts & Sciences, The School of Business and Information Systems, and The School of Health Sciences and Professional Programs. Over sixty baccalaureate programs from across a variety of disciplines, including accounting, aviation management, business, computer science, journalism, social work, teacher education, a dual BS/MS degree in Occupational Therapy, and one of the top-ranked nursing programs in New York State, provide students with opportunities to study liberal arts, sciences, and professional programs. The College also offers six graduate programs: Aviation Management, Clinical Trials Management, Pharmaceutical Science and Business, Physician Assistant, Social Work and Nursing Education.
Located in Queens, the most ethnically diverse county in New York State, the college enrolls 7,000 students from over 95 nations. Nine out of ten students are members of a racial/ethnic minority group, and more than half of undergraduates are the first in their families to pursue higher education.
The 50-acre campus encompasses seven buildings, including science and computer labs, music and television studios, a Performing Arts Center, and a Physical Education Center. Reporting to the Director for Student Activities. The Administrative Coordinator will assist and work on purchasing/budget management. Creation of college wide methods for marketing and advertising, and management of social media platforms for the department of Student Activities.
Responsible for creating marketing and advertisements for programs and events.
Develop advertising consistent within overall marketing plans to achieve image, awareness and/or enrollment goals while following ADA guidelines.
Actively manages and moderates electronic content and marketing tools for the Division, college and external web sites and sources, including social networks, video portals, YC App.
Provides administrative assistance in purchasing and contract processing.
Provides support for student organization events and programs.
Develops and manages an annual schedule of reunion events and other alumni activities, and handles alumni communications through social media, organized email outreach.
Works collaboratively with other areas of the College and the Alumni Association to promote and improve alumni participation.
Maintains data on alumni engagement.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Capable of budget preparation, analysis, and review.
Knowledge of software such as Microsoft Office Suite, CUNYFIRST & basic graphic design.
Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
Adequate knowledge of web design, web development.
Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels.
Positive attitude, detail, and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability.
Ability to evaluate all programs and services.

Manages basic office functions such as communications, meeting schedules, work plans, staff assignments, and distributing information.
Collects data for, prepares, and distributes reports and presentations using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
Updates office databases, lists, and files to ensure completeness and accuracy; maintains current information on department web site(s); maintains department archives and collections.
Conducts internet and/or database research and performs basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities.
Maintains department fiscal plans and budgets; assists in budget administration and invoice processing.
Provides basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department.
May supervise office staff and student workers.
Performs related duties as assigned.
