Senior Director of Campus Life & the Residential Experience

Location: Williamsport, Pennsylvania
Based on minimum education and experience qualifications the yearly salary range is $101,000-$108,000.
The Senior Director reports to the Dean of Students and sets the strategic vision for students' experience outside the classroom. Leading the Office of Residence Life and the Office of Student Engagement, this individual also directs all aspects of student conduct and establishes standards for community responsibility. Additionally, this person will provide visionary and strategic leadership to the offices of Student Engagement Residence Life, developing a cohesive vision for campus life that aligns with the College’s mission and vision.
Minimum education and experience:
Master's Degree in Student Personnel, Counseling, Higher Education Administration, or related discipline
Five (5) years of experience in college/university Residence Life at the assistant or associate director level.
Five (5) years of experience in student conduct.
Experience with residential curriculum and/or affinity communities.
Experience supervising professional staff.
Experience developing and managing budgets.
Minimum abilities and Skills:

Ability to deal with ambiguity and risk, and provide leadership and direction through uncertainty.
Ability to prioritize and triage multiple demands on time and attention.
Demonstrated success working collaboratively and building relationships across various campus constituencies.
An understanding of student success research and demonstrated experience with student success initiatives.
Demonstrated experience with crisis management and an ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
Strong organizational and budget management skills, specifically in the management of multiple cost centers, accounts, and revenue and expense models.
A record of effective team leadership and staff development.
Familiarity with and a respect for relevant regulations and laws related to student affairs in higher education.
Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with students, staff, faculty, parents, and the public.
Strong problem-resolution skills.
Excellent organizational, administrative and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
Demonstrated sensitivity to issues of student development, engagement, and leadership.
Demonstrated evidence of creative and entrepreneurial problem solving.
Self-starter who can work without constant supervision.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner and maintain the standard of care that is appropriate for this position.
