Under general supervision, oversees the development, implementation, and administration of programs and activities designed to assist in the retention of University undergraduate and graduate students, and to encourage the development of the general well-being of students within the university's co-curricular environment.
Advisement of several student programming boards including 2 movie programs, and arts & crafts studio, a community service agency, and Mortar Board Senior Honor Society.
Planning and implementation of campus wide programs and events including Harry Potter Day, Welcome Week, Star Wars Day, and more.
Operation of movie programming including, coordinating, booking, advertising, concessions prep, and supervising student staff.
Co-chair of the Event Coordinator Committee. Run and facilitate meetings of the campus departments involved in various events occurring on campus.
Support of all Student Activities Center events and programs. Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified are required. Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, or similar field, is preferred.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Graduate Assistantship experience may also be used as experience.

The University of New Mexico's Student Activities Center (SAC) is a dynamic department at a Flagship, Research 1, Hispanic Serving Institution. SAC works directly with amazing student leaders, plans impactful programs and events, and is a go-to department for campus committees and administration. Our department is a collaborative team that works with Activities, Student Governments, Fraternities and Sororities, Student Organizations, and Student Organization Accounting. We are composed of 11 professional staff and 50 student employees. Our team works regularly works together as one unit and provides for opportunities for cross-training in many different areas.
