Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Program Operations within the Center for Student Involvement, the Specialist assists with the execution of internal processes within the Program Operations team. Specifically, this role ensures that administrative elements associated with student organization management are efficiently maintained through technological systems. The Specialist serves as an Engage/Campus Labs administrator for the CSI team and recognized student organizations. The Specialist will also serve as a co-administrator for Monday.com, a system designed to manage administrative needs. Additionally, the Specialist will support the University's strategic plan Northeastern 2025; to connect the global community of Northeastern students through research and implementation of the industry’s new technology and constant enhancement of current technology. The Center for Student Involvement is a highly collaborative unit that strives to engage students at all levels of our operation. As such, the Specialist will explore methods to increase opportunities for students to become more engaged in our co-curricular efforts. The Specialist will leverage technology to improve customer service, student development, and operational efficiency. Furthermore, the Specialist will train new staff to use CSI systems.
The Specialist will support the New Student Organization Recognition Process through performing the initial review of applications. The Specialist will also guide, support and mentor applicants going through the New Student Organization application process. Additionally, the Program Operations Specialist will support one-time or short/term student initiatives. The Specialist will manage the bi-annual registration process for all CSI-recognized student organizations and will serve as the Program Manager for those with Tentative Recognition status. In this role, the Specialist will ensure student groups with tentative recognition status are fully supported. The specialist will do this by ensuring the student organization is fully knowledgeable of CSI and university-wide policies and protocols, and that they understand what is expected of them in Tentative Recognition status.

Requirements
A Bachelor's degree is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with college students or those with a project management background. The Program Operations Specialist must be able to work within a fast-paced, global campus network and possess a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. The successful candidate must demonstrate independence while possessing excellent problem-solving skills and exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills. As a member of the Division of Student Affairs, the Program Operations Specialist will align his/her/their work with the established mission, vision, and literacies of the division.
