The Student Involvement Coordinator serves the important role of assisting students in creating a vibrant campus life, both in-person and digitally. This position advises the Oberlin College Program Board, which creates novelty programming for the campus and continues the “Connect Cleveland” initiative of programming within the Greater Cleveland area during the school year. The Student Involvement Coordinator also creates a social media strategy for the office and implements it while prioritizing high digital engagement for the office.
This position primarily works on nights and weekends during the academic year. This is an 11-month, continuing, Administrative & Professional Staff position.
A successful professional in this position makes themselves present at campus events, including those planned by Program Board and Student Organizations or those within the Dionysus Night Club, Cat in the Cream, and College Lanes. This position also assists in coordinating high-level institutional programming including homecoming and senior week.
Bachelor’s Degree required with a Master’s degree preferred in Student Affairs, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.
Experience working with social media for an organization.
Prior experience in advising or leading an organization.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and work on several large projects simultaneously.
Ability to work as part of a team within an office and collaborate with campus partners.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the Google Suite.
Experience in training, team building/facilitation, co-curricular event planning, assessment, and mentoring/coaching with diverse constituencies.
