The Center for Student Involvement (CSI) welcomes applications for the Assistant Director of Student Organizations and Leadership! The Assistant Director is an exempt professional position and serves as one of three assistant directors in CSI and reports to the Director. This position is a member of the leadership team and works with the Director to provide leadership and strategic direction for the department. Assistant Directors in CSI have high levels of responsibility and authority over staff members, budget, and significant programs within the department. Assistant Directors have autonomy over decision-making related to the programs and services related to their area in collaboration with the Director and in alignment with the department’s mission and goals. Assistant Directors work with supervisees to set outcome goals and program direction for their respective areas. Additionally, they make staffing decisions for their areas in consultation with the Director.
The position specifically supervises the management of student organizations on the CU Boulder campus, including but not limited to the annual recognition process, liaison support model, advising resources, oversight of the student organization management platform, and training programs and events. This position will also be responsible for the leadership and skill building programs within CSI. Additional items that are included within this position’s portfolio include, but are not limited to: Student Organization Allocation Committee, the CU GOLD Leadership Program, departmental student employment, and general programming and events that support student organizations and student leadership.

- Master’s degree in social sciences or related field from an accredited college or university and at least one year of professional, job related experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- Demonstrated experience with student organizations and leadership programming.
