Job Summary:
The Director of Student Involvement provides visionary and strategic leadership, supervision, and management of a comprehensive student involvement program, which includes fraternity and sorority life, general student clubs and organizations oversight, volunteer services, and campus programming.
The Director collaborates with campus partners to inspire and cultivate a comprehensive student clubs and organizations program in accordance with The Furman Advantage, ensuring Furman students have opportunities for involvement, belonging, and leadership development.
The Director reports to the Associate Dean of Student Involvement and Engagement.

Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, Counseling, or other related field required.
Minimum of five years of progressive professional experience within the student activities and organizations and/or fraternity and sorority life functional area.
Demonstrated knowledge of national trends/best practices in fraternity and sorority life.
Demonstrated significant supervisory, risk management, and budgetary management experience.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, conflict resolution skills, leadership skills, and a strong work ethic required.
Must have the ability to prioritize tasks, meet realistic deadlines, and operate within specific budget restraints.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Understanding of the importance of student learning outcomes and assessment preferred.
